The SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master Training is an advanced-level course for experienced SAFe® Scrum Masters. It provides in-depth skills to more effectively coach agile teams and individual team members in a SAFe® environment, thereby improving team outcomes and, ultimately, the results of the entire ART.
On the one hand, well-known SAFe® concepts at the team and ART level are explored in greater depth; on the other hand, new topics are introduced that help turn a SAFe® Scrum Master into a “better Scrum Master.” These include, for example, motivating team members through “Powerful Questions,” handling and resolving team conflicts, and supporting the development of an agile team into a high-performing team.
Scrum Masters are also provided with practical tools to address the frequently discussed question of whether Scrum or Kanban is the more suitable approach for a team within an ART. In addition, the training covers how to establish a learning mindset not only within one’s own team, but across the entire organization.
The training also examines the use of AI technologies in agile teams, as well as how Scrum Masters themselves can effectively leverage AI tools in their daily work.
The course is highly interactive, featuring many short exercises, and enables valuable peer-to-peer exchange among participating Scrum Masters, allowing them to learn from one another.

How does the certification take place?
Certification takes place after the training and successful completion of the online examination.
How do I register for the online exam?
The respective email address of the course participant is required for registration for the online examination. This will be requested with the list of participants before the training. Activation or admission to the examination usually takes place on the last day of the training.
How do I get my access data to the SAFe® Community Platform?
Participants will receive their access data to the SAFe® Community Platform of Scaled Agile, Inc. based in Boulder (USA) and to the online examination by email.
When do I have to have completed my online exam?
Participants can take the online certification exam within 30 days.
Is participation in the examination compulsory?
Participation is optional.
How do I get my certificate after a successful exam?
After passing the exam, the certificate is made available for download in the participant's personal user profile.
