Leading SAFe® 6.0 is the introductory training for the Scaled Agile Framework® and provides a comprehensive overview of the foundations of SAFe®. It conveys the principles and practices required to confidently drive a Lean-Agile transformation and to organize work across departmental boundaries along the company’s value streams, supported by common AI technologies.
The Leading SAFe® training and the subsequent Leading SAFe® certification provide clear guidance and the necessary tools to develop a shared language and build a resilient organizational culture. This enables you to engage employees, put the customer at the center, and implement agile ways of working at scale.
The SAFe Agilist training demonstrates how to align the entire organization around clear objectives and improve the flow of value and work from strategy through execution. You will learn what makes organizations more customer-centric and how to effectively conduct key SAFe® alignment and planning events, such as PI Plannings. Become a certified SAFe® 6.0 Agilist and successfully lead your organization through an agile transformation with AI elements.
Approximately 20% of the training activities involve the use of AI tools.
Therefore, participants must have access to one of the commonly used AI chatbots—such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot—during the training. A free version of these tools is sufficient.

Leading SAFe® 6.0 is a comprehensive introduction to the SAFe framework, ideal for people in any role who do not have yet much experience with SAFe® 6.0. Additionally, the training is specifically aimed at leaders, managers and anyone else in an organization who wants to drive the adoption or scaling of Agile and Lean principles at an enterprise level.
Requirements:
All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience.
However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the SAFe® 5 Agilist (SA) certification exam:
- Experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product, or project management
- Experience in Scrum
- First experiences with AI tools, such as chatbots

How does the certification take place?
Certification takes place after the training and successful completion of the online examination.
How do I register for the online exam?
The respective email address of the course participant is required for registration for the online examination. This will be requested with the list of participants before the training. Activation or admission to the examination usually takes place on the last day of the training.
How do I get my access data to the SAFe® Community Platform?
Participants will receive their access data to the SAFe® Community Platform of Scaled Agile, Inc. based in Boulder (USA) and to the online examination by email.
When do I need to complete my online exam?
Participants can take the online certification exam within 30 days.
Is participation in the examination compulsory?
Participation is optional.
How do I get my certificate after a successful exam?
After passing the exam, the certificate is made available for download in the participant's personal user profile.
