KEGON becomes OKR Consortium Partner: Training courses now also available in Germany

  • Agile Leadership
  • Agile Organisation

KEGON AG has been a partner of the OKR Consortium since January 1, 2025 and also offers certified and official OKR training courses in Germany. These are trainings for different target groups for an OKR introduction with a duration of between half a day and two days (in presence) or one and three days in a remote setting.

What is the OKR Consortium?

The OKR Consortium is an association of OKR experts with extensive experience in training, introducing and coaching managers and organizations in the introduction of Obectives and Key Results (OKRs) as a management tool. The OKR Consortium is based on the concepts of the global OKR expert Ben Lamorte (known for his book “The OKRs Field Book”).

Which OKR training courses does KEGON offer from the OKR Consortium portfolio?

KEGON currently offers the following training courses:

  • Certified OKR Practitioner: 1-day basic training for those interested in OKRs when applying OKRs in practice
  • Certified OKR Coach: 2-day training for coaches on the introduction of OKRs in companies
  • OKR Executive Workshop: 4-8 hours of introductory training for managers on introducing OKRs in companies

What is the advantage of the OKR Consortium training courses over others?

The content of the training courses is designed by experts who have been supporting OKR introductions for years. Approaches from different OKR approaches, such as "Radical Focus" by Christina Wodtke, "Measure What Matters" by John Doerr or "The OKRs Field Book" by Ben Lamorte, are also integrated. Instead of dogmatically inventing our own OKR framework, we drew on proven patterns from practice.

Furthermore, in addition to the OKR artifacts and the actual OKR process (with many meeting templates), the OKR Consortium's approach includes additional aspects such as OKR roles and a 3-phase OKR implementation process with 9 suggested deployment parameters to tailor an OKR implementation to a company.

Do the trainings also cover several OKR levels?

Yes, the OKR Consortium approach can be applied to different sized companies from 20 to several thousand employees and covers multiple OKR levels to ensure in very large organizations that multiple teams contribute to the same company OKRs or strategic goals of the company.

How does the assessment/certification work?

All participants who were present during the training period and were active in the exercises will receive the corresponding certificate as:

  • Certified OKR-Practitioner
  • Certified OKR-Coach
  • Certified OKR-Executive

There is no separate examination. The trainer decides on the awarding of certificates after the training.

Does the OKR certificate expire at some point?

No, compared to other training organizations, the OKR Consortium certificates are valid indefinitely.
